What is the immune system?

Quercetin
a flavonoid found in fruits and vegetables it has unique biological properties that may improve mental/physical performance and reduce infection risk.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C contributes to immune defence by supporting various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune system. Vitamin C supports epithelial barrier function against pathogens and promotes the oxidant scavenging activity of the skin, thereby potentially protecting against environmental oxidative stress.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D receptors are present in many cell types including various immune cells such as antigen-presenting-cells, T cells, B cells and monocytes. Data from human vitamin D supplementation studies have shown beneficial effects on immune function, in particular in the context of autoimmunity.
Vitamin K2
Scientific support points to vitamin K’s role in the modulation of the cell signalling complex, nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-kB). This major transcription factor helps regulate genes responsible for both the innate and adaptive immune response. Vitamin K can regulate the activation of the NF-kB pathway, modulating the immune and inflammatory responses.
Zinc
is known to play a central role in the immune system and zinc-deficient persons experience increased susceptibility to a variety of pathogens. Zinc affects multiple aspects of the immune system from the barrier of the skin to gene regulation within lymphocytes. Zinc is crucial for normal development and function of cells.
